The Grand Jurors’ Association is an all-volunteer, organization comprised of current and former Contra Costa County Civil Grand Jurors. Our mission is to promote, preserve and support the Civil Grand Jury system through training, education, and outreach to foster transparency, accountability, and performance of the government in Contra Costa County.

Benefits of belonging to the Contra Costa County Chapter include: Continuing your unique service to Contra Costa County, Working with the court to recruit and train new members of the Civil Grand Jury, Educating the public on the duties and responsibilities of the Civil Grand Jury, Promote the Civil Grand Jury service, Follow up on the recommendations of the Civil Grand Jury and Continue the special friendships you made during your service.

About the Association

The Contra Costa Grand Jurors Association is an all-volunteer organization, comprised of former Contra Costa County civil grand jurors.  Our mission is to promote, preserve, and support the Civil Grand Jury system through training, education, and outreach to foster transparency, accountability, and performance of government in Contra Costa County.

Our objectives are to promote and recruit new and diverse members of the Civil Grand Jury, conduct training for members of the Civil Grand Jury, follow up on the recommendation of the Civil Grand Jury, and raise awareness of the Grand Jury system and its accomplishments.

The Contra Costa Grand Jury Association is proud to be a chapter of the California Grand Jury Association.

Would you like to make a difference in your community? The Contra Costa County Superior Court is accepting applications for Civil Grand Jury Service for the 2023-2024 term.

The Civil Grand Jury is made up of 19 members who serve for one year, July through June, to monitor, review and report on city and county governments, special districts and school districts. El Tribunal Superior del Condado de Contra Costa está aceptando solicitudes para el Servicio de Gran Jurado Civil para el período del año fiscal 2023-2024. El Gran Jurado Civil está compuesto por 19 miembros que sirven durante un año, de Julio a Junio, para monitorear, revisar e informar sobre los gobiernos de la ciudad y el condado, los distritos especiales y los distritos escolares.
